About Anonyx
Anonyx is an independent vendor of a database anonymization platform for technical teams. Our mission is straightforward: make production database copies usable in development, test and analytics environments without ever exposing real personal data - and without forcing application code changes.
Why we exist
Most recent data breaches originate from production database copies sitting in insufficiently protected test or integration environments. GDPR mandates technical measures to prevent this exposure, but existing tooling is either heavy (ETL-side data masking), incomplete (developer-side faker libraries), or hosted outside Europe.
We built Anonyx as the self-serve European solution we would have wanted to use ourselves: a native connector for common SQL engines, ready-to-use transformations for French and European data, native CI/CD integrations, and a sovereign hosting model by default.
Our commitments
- European sovereignty. The entire platform runs on European servers operated by providers not subject to the US CLOUD Act.
- Transparent pricing. A forever-free plan for individual developers, and paid plans with public pricing - no mandatory "contact sales" gate.
- Compliance by construction. Every feature is designed to satisfy the technical requirements of GDPR article 32, recital 26 and recent CNIL positions on test environments.
- Independence. We are funded by our customers, not by investors who would push us toward non-European hosting or opaque pricing models.
The team
Anonyx is built by a small team of engineers and compliance specialists based in France, working remotely with regular contributors across Europe (Belgium, Germany, Portugal). A detailed team page will be published soon.
